by Oscar von Redwitz-Schmölz (1823 - 1891)

Mein Liebchen ist kein stolzes Schloß
Language: German (Deutsch)
Mein Liebchen ist kein stolzes Schloß,
Dran prunkend reiche Säulen stehn,
Nach dessen Fenstern hoch zu Roß
Viel Herrn mit eitelm Grüsse sehen.

'sist nur ein Kirchlein tief im Wald,
Drum ranket Ros' und Rebe sich.
So klar und fromm sein Glöcklein schallt
Und niemand betet drin als ich.
