by Cajetan Cerri (1826 - 1899)

Von allen Sprüchen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Von allen Sprüchen halte
den Spruch in Ehren mir:
„Wie auch das Schicksal walte,
nur mutig für und für!“

So lange wir vertrauen
auf unser'n eig'nen Mut
und hoffend vorwärts schauen,
so lang' ist alles gut.

Und sei dein Hoffen, Sehnen
auch nur ein schöner Traum
zu trocknen deine Tränen,
gib ihm im Herzen Raum.

Lass immerhin nur walten
das feindliche Geschick,
denn alles umgestalten
kann selbst ein Augenblick.

Heut' traurig, morgen munter,
das ist der Dinge Lauf;
und sinkt die Sonne unter,
so geh'n die Sterne auf!
