Die schönste Rose, die da blüht
Language: German (Deutsch)
Die schönste Rose, die da blüht,
Das ist der rosenfarbne Mund
Von wonniglichen Weiben;
Sie tut sich erst als Knospe kund,
In sich geschlossen und bemüht,
so recht für sich zu bleiben!

Der Mai küßt alle Rosen wach,
Auf rosenfarb'nen Mund der Kuß:
Die Lippe kommt zum Blühen;
Drum keine Lippe ohne Kuß,
Und jedem Kuß an seinem Tag
Der schönsten Lippen Glühen!

Die schönste Rose, die da blüht,
Das ist der rosenfarbne Mund
Von wonniglichen Weiben;
Am Kuß des Mai'n die Ros' erglüht,
Es soll der schönste Rosenmund
Nicht ungeküsset bleiben!
