Mondenschein, stiller Mondenschein

Language: German (Deutsch)
Mondenschein, stiller Mondenschein,
Eile zu ihrem Kämmerlein!
Du sollst sie oftmals grüßen,
Mondenschein, darfst sie küssen!
Willst du mein Bote sein?

Nachtigall, traute Nachtigall,
Fliege mit deinem Liederschall,
Fliege zu ihr und sage,
Was ich im Herzen trage
Ueberall, überall!

Rosenduft, süßer Rosenduft,
Schwinge dich durch die Abendluft,
Eile mit deinem Wehen!
Schmeichler, sie wird es verstehen,
Daß dich die Liebe ruft!

Aber der treuste Bote hier
Plaudert den ganzen Tag von ihr;
Immerfort muß er springen,
Fröhliche Kunde mir bringen,
Eile mein Herz zu ihr!
