Es taget in dem Osten

Language: German (Deutsch)
Es taget in dem Osten,
Es taget überall.
Erwacht ist schon die Lerche,
Erwacht die Nachtigall.

Wie sich die Wolken röthen
Am jungen Sonnenstrahl!
Hell wird des Waldes Wipfel
Und licht das graue Thal.

Die Blumen richten wieder
Empor ihr Angesicht;
Mit Thränen auf den Wangen
Schau'n sie ins Sonnenlicht.

Und könnt' ein herbes Leiden
Je trüben deinen Muth:
Schau hoffend auf gen Himmel,
Wie´s heut' die Blume thut.

Und Frieden kehret wieder
Zu dir und Freud' und Lust,
Und wie's auf Erden taget,
So tagt's in deiner Brust.
