Freud', o Freud'! aus meinem Thale

Language: German (Deutsch)
Freud', o Freud'! aus meinem Thale
Plötzlich dort ein Schimmer bricht,
Ja, das ist in Liebchens Kammer
Ihrer Lampe stilles Licht.

O du Mond und all ihr Sterne,
Was noch brauch' ich euren Schein?
Strahlt doch dieser kleine Schimmer
Sonnenhell in's Herz hinein! --

Wenn ihr lieben goldnen Strahlen
Denn auch ihr in's Auge scheint,
In die schönen lichten Thränen,
Die mein Mädchen um mich weint:

Flammet auf in hellem Schimmer,
Daß sie wieder fröhlich blickt
Und in tiefster Seele fühlet:
Diesen Gruß der Liebste schickt!
