Frau Gans die hört den frohen Chor
NOTE: the footnotes have been removed from this text; return to general view
Language: German (Deutsch)
Frau Gans die hört den frohen Chor
Der lieben Vöglein all;
Da möcht' sie gerne singen auch
Wie Lerch und Nachtigall.
Sie recket hoch den Hals empor
Und stimmet an und singt.
Daß ihr Gesang durch's ganze Dorf
Gar lieblich hin erklingt:
    Gigak! Gigak! Gigak!

Und kaum hört's ihre Nachbarin,
So stimmt sie fröhlich ein;
Die allerbeßte Sängerin
Möcht' jede gerne sein.
Und nun geht das Concert erst an,
Und Gans und Gänslein singt,
Daß rechts und links und überall
Das schöne Lied erklingt:
    Gigak! Gigak! Gigak!
