Grüß' ihn, o Morgenröthe, Mit deinem ersten Strahl! Leucht', Sonne, seinem Pfade Und grüß' ihn tausend mal! Ihr Blümlein hold und duftig, Verborgen tief im Thal, Sprecht ihm von meiner Liebe, Und grüßt ihn tausend mal! Am dunkeln Abendhimmel, Ihr Sternlein ohne Zahl, Mit eurem süßen Blinken Grüßt ihn viel tausend mal! In einsam stiller Kammer, Im dichtgedrängten Saal, Sucht ihn nur mein Gedanke Und grüßt ihn tausend mal!
