Durch das abendliche Dunkel In dem stillen Raum Zieht des Mondes Glanzgefunkel Wie ein süßer Traum. Wie beim Vollmondschein sich hebet In dem Meere die Flut, Schwillt das Herz empor und bebet In verhaltner Glut. Und in sehnsuchtsvollem Drange, Heimlich, unbewußt Schmiegt sich Wange still an Wange, Brust sich still an Brust. Bis sich Mund zu Mund gefunden Und vom Mondenlicht Wie von Kettengold umwunden, Herz zum Herzen spricht.
