Nicht länger darf ich schweigen -- Lebewohl! Ich gab mich dir zu eigen -- Lebewohl! Ach Alles ist vorbei -- Ich muß scheiden, Muß Dich meiden, Und Du bist nun wieder frei. -- Lebewohl! Lebewohl! Es ist gar leicht zu sagen: Lebewohl! Doch ach, wie schwer zu tragen -- Lebewohl! Im Herzen tief betrübt. Es fühlt Keiner, Nur wenn Einer Hat so treu wie ich geliebt. -- Lebewohl! Lebewohl! Mit schmerzlichem Entzücken -- Lebewohl! Möcht' ich noch einmal blicken -- Lebewohl! Dein stilles Angesicht, Blick voll Thränen, Brust voll Sehnen, Aber, nein, ich darf es nicht. -- Lebewohl!
