Love's good morrow
 (Sung text for setting by A. Pease)
 Matches base text
Language: English
Back, clouds, away!
And welcome day!
With night we'll banish sorrow.
Sweet air, blow soft;
Mount, lark, aloft!
To bid my love good morrow!

Wings from the wind
To please her mind,
Notes from the lark I'll borrow;
Bird, plume thy wing,
O! linnet, sing
To bid my love good morrow!

Wake from thy nest,
Thou sweet redbreast.
Sing, birds, in every furrow,
And from each hill
Let music shrill,
Bid my fair love good morrow!

Each lark and thrush
on every bush,
Stare, linnet and cock sparrow,
You pretty elves
Among yourselves
Sing my fair love good morrow!

    Set to music by Alfred Humphries Pease (1838 - 1882), "Love's good morrow" [ voice and piano ]
