Du tatst ihr Leid erschau'n.

Sie geben Blut und Leben hin
für ihre gute Kaiserin.

Composition:

    Set to music by Erich Wolfgang Korngold (1897 - 1957), "Kaiserin Zita-Hymne", 1916, first performed 1917 [ soprano, chorus and orchestra or piano ], confirmed with a CD booklet; note: only the piano reduction of the score survived the First World War.
