Die Abschiedsträne
(Sung text for setting by J. Voříšek)
 See original
Language: German (Deutsch)
Fliesse, süsse Schwermutsträne,
Meines trauten Mädchens schöne,
Gramgebleichte Wang' herab.
Rolle, volle Perle, immer,
Hier im sanften Mondes Schimmer
Trocknet dich mein Kuß ihr ab.

Bebet, hebet, Busenhügel,
auch wie leichte Schwannenflügel,
bebt, o bebt vor Trennungsschmerz.
Meine kleine Adeline
Drücket mich mit banger Miene
Heut zum letztenmal ans Herz.

Küsse, süsse sanfte Taube,
Mir den Abschiedskuß und glaube,
Daß mein Herz für dich nur glüht.
Ewig, ewig dir ergeben
Bleibt es, Teure! bis mein Leben
Mit dem letzten Hauch entflieht.
