Komm' wir wollen Veilchen suchen
(Sung text for setting by J. Rünger)
 Matches base text
Language: German (Deutsch)
Komm', wir wollen Veilchen suchen,
draußen duftet schon der Hain,
unter alten Waldesbuchen
uns des Vogellieds erfreun.

Hörst du weit den Kuckuk klagen,
kennst du jene alte Mär
von den duft’gen, jungen Tagen,
von des Glückes heiß’ Begehr?

Sieh, schon sinkt die Sonne glühend
und wir wandern still zurück.
Unter Veilchen, duftig blühend,
fanden wir das reinste Glück.
