Gruss
(Sung text for setting by H. Huller)
 Matches base text
Language: German (Deutsch)
Unter grünenden Bäumen
hab' ich bei dämmernder Nacht
Dein in süßen, seligen Träumen,
Dein, Geliebter, gedacht.

Duftend streute die Linde
Blüten nieder zu mir,
schmeichelnd kosten die Winde
wie ein Grüßen von ihr.

Und ein himmlisches Singen
schien vom Sternengezelt
leise hernieder zu klingen
durch die schlafende Welt.

Composition:

Set to music by Hugo Huller , "Gruss", published 1896 [ voice and piano ], from 3 Lieder für 1 Singstimme mit Pianoforte, no. 1, München, Schmid Nachf.
