Dein Wort, o Herr, im Munde
(Sung text for setting by B. Randhartinger)
 Matches original text
Language: German (Deutsch)
Dein Wort, o Herr, im Munde,
Von deiner Hand bedeckt,
Froh bin ich jede Stunde,
Nichts ist, das mich erschreckt.

Wie lang das Weinen währet
Allhier zu meinem Heil,
Die Erd' ist mir verkläret,
Bleibst du, nur du mein Theil.

Ja auch den Himmel offen
Seh' ich im schönsten Licht,
Kann ich auf dich nur hoffen
Mit aller Zuversicht.

Und selig manche Stunde
Darf schauen ich hinein,
Und hör's aus deinem Munde:
Mein bist du und ich dein.

Composition:

Set to music by Benedikt Randhartinger (1802 - 1893), "Dein Wort, o Herr, im Munde"

Text Authorship:
