lacht der blanke Mai ins Haus,
Lämmerwölkchen will er treiben
in die blaue Welt hinaus.

Singend streift der liebe Junge
unter meinem Fenster hin.
Wie ich da mit einem Sprunge
singend ihm zur Seite bin!

Gleich das jüngste seiner Lieder
singt er mir im Wanderschritt,
immer wieder, immer wieder
sing ich's frühlingsselig mit.

Weiße Nacht und blaue Frühe
und ein gold'ner, gold'ner Tag;
blühe, junge Sonne, blühe
bis die Erde blühen mag!
