På stranden
(Sung text for setting by K. Håkanson)
 Matches base text
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
En ändlös middagsklarhets ro.
Vid havet hvila tvenne.
Den stora lyckan fäst sitt bo
hos honom och hos henne.

Hon slösar skratt, hon slösar smek,
intill hans sida sluten
en praktfull fjärils ras och lek
i sommarglansminuten!

Hur kom sig, att han rönte då
ett styng, när hjärtat svällde
i detta höga juliblå
och denna klarhets välde?

Hans själ, som mannens vemod fick,
har kännt hur vågor vandra
och kännt, att detta ögonblick
skall fly, som alla andra.
