Förvisso en dag
(Sung text for setting by K. Håkanson)
 Matches base text
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Förvisso en dag skall jag
varsna ett sken af den dag,
som min kärlek bebådat.
Den skall flamma så hög,
skall stråla så ren,
som ännu ej någon den skådat.
Men natten rår än.

Mitt öga skall då icke bländas däraf,
det skall leende sluta att blunda.
Jag skall stiga till brädden af kärlekens haf,
att dess djup uti klarhet begrunda.
När natten ej rår.

Composition:

Set to music by Knut Håkanson (1887 - 1929), "Förvisso en dag", op. 7 no. 3 (1921) [ voice and piano ], from Sångerna om hjärtat, Tre sånger, no. 3
