Juninatt
(Sung text for setting by V. Raitio)
 Matches original text
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Så mörk stod furuskogens rand
omkring orörlig sjö,
där getporsblom på fuktig strand
stod vit som kvarglömd snö.

I mattgult dunkel dagen dog
en ljudlös juninatt.
En lom sin silverstrimma drog
på sjö, som blänkte matt.

Ej viskade en vind i skog,
ej steg en rök mot sky,
ej minsta våg mot stranden slog
och blekt var månens ny.

Det var en stund, då tidens flykt
ett ögonblick stod still,
ett ögonblick som skönt och skyggt
jag länge minnas vill.
