till skogarnas mummel och älvens brus.
All gammal sorg jag glömmer
i kvällens bleka ljus.

Vem kan gå tung och bitter
i vårens glans på skogens stig;
som sång och fågelkvitter
all världen spelar om dig.

Kom, följ mig mot vårkvällens solnedgång,
där tystnaden väntar oss trolsk och lång
och älvens röda glitter
dör bort i böljornas sång.
