Wie die wilde Ros' im Wald
(Sung text for setting by B. Randhartinger)
 Matches original text
Language: German (Deutsch)
Wie die wilde Ros' im Wald
Blühe, Mägdlein, blühe!
Ach, die Sorgen kommen bald,
Und der Kummer frühe!
Blüh'! -- noch weht der Morgenwind!
Blühe, blühe, glücklich Kind!

Blüh'! -- In grüner Einsamkeit
Ahnt es nicht die Rose,
Wie sie leuchtet weit und breit
Aus dem zarten Moose.
Blühe, blühe, selig blind,
Blüh' noch lange, holdes Kind!

Wie die wilde Ros' im Wald
Blühe, Mägdlein, blühe!
Ach, die Sorgen kommen bald,
Und der Kummer frühe!
Blüh'! -- es welken so geschwind,
Ros' und Jugend, liebes Kind!
