L'ombra de Natzaret
(Sung text for setting by N. Freixas i Cruells)
 Matches base text
Language: Catalan (Català)
Sentadeta va filant
la Natzarena Maria,
sentadeta al marxapeu
del portal de la botiga.
Mentre el fus fa voltejar
mira al cel i defallia…
pom de lliris i clavells
se la miren les veïnes,
roseta de Jericó,
poncella tendrá i florida.
Tot d’una passa el portal
un fuster amb ses eines
a la dreta un cartabó
a l’esquerre una aixa fina
li va darrera un noiet
rosadet per la fatiga,.
porta a coll un cabiró
que quinze pams bé els faria…
L’ombra que fa el bon Jesús
a la Verge ha deixondida;
Ell s’hi gira i li somriu,
Ella somriu i sospira
i amb sa fusada de lli
els ulls plorosos obria
Ai! aquella ombra del pal
mai més del cor li fugia
