Few and faint a bird’s small notes
Stirred on the air and died away
Among the wind enticing trees,
And everywhere the crimson may
Lapped in the sunsweet silence bloomed
And lost in lonely reverie.
A mirrored swan upon a pool
Floated beneath a willow tree.
