Im Tale
 (Sung text for setting by F. Kühmstedt)
 Matches base text
Language: German (Deutsch)
Im Lichtglanz deines Friedens
ruh' ich, o stilles Tal;
entzücket folgt mein Auge
den Blumen ohne Zahl,
und aus den Blumen steiget
ein freundlich Engelchor
und zieht mit Duft und Farben
zum Himmel mich empor.

Der Erdenqual entlastet,
bebt wonn'erfüllt mein Herz;
Natur, in deinem Tempel
ist Frieden allerwärts.
Mich tragen Sehnsucht, Ahnung
zu lichten Sternen hin.
Der Liebe süßes Walten
kommt mir im Tal zu Sinn.
