O England
(Sung text for setting by E. Miller)
 Matches base text
Language: English
            1
There's a right little tight little island,
Forever 'tis your land and my land,
A jewel set in a silver sea,
The cradle of liberty.
And the hearts of her men will be stouter,
Her sons shall e'er stand in defence of her land,
No enemy tyrant shall flout her.

            Chorus
O England, our island of lowland and highland,
Of meadow and valley, of hill and dale,
Her sons shall not falter when foemen assault her,
The heart of an Englishman shall never fail.

              2
Tho' the might of her foes may assail her,
Yet the hearts of her sons shall not fail her,
Their swords shall flash in the foremost fight,
Supreme if her cause be right.
She shall stand like a fortress forever,
True and loyal to her highest endeavor,
'Twixt the weak and the strong, for the right
                  'gainst the wrong,
Her Empire of Love none shall sever.
