Leuchtender Engel meines Lebens, Traum meiner Jugend flüchtig und schön! Bist hier im Tal des Schmerzes zu sehen Weilst unter Sternen du, Ziel meines Strebens? Hast du entsagt dem Leben, betrübt, O lasse im Traum die Kunde mir geben, Daß ich verlass' die Welt und das Leben Fliegend zu dir, die heiß ich geliebt!
