Thou art but young thou sayest Matches base text
Language: English
Thou art but young thou sayest, And Love's delight thou weighest not; O take time while thou mayest, Lest when thou would'st, thou mayest not. If Love shall thus assail thee, A double double anguish will torment thee: And thou wilt wish (but wishes all will fail thee) "O me that I were young again"; and so repent thee.
Composition:
- Set to music by John Wilbye (1574 - 1638), "Thou art but young thou sayest", published 1598 [ vocal sextet ], madrigal
