Ich bin der heilige Nikolaus
Ich komm herab vom Himmelshaus.
Der Weg ist weit, der Wind ist kalt,
und ein Jahrtausend bin ich alt.
Im Himmel hab ich Reich und Thron,
ein Zepter und eine goldene Kron.
Doch jedes Jahr um diese Zeit
zu Weihnachten, wenn's stürmt und schneit:
Da mach ich durch die Welt die Rund
und tu mich braven Kindern kund.
Gott grüße Euch und seid nit bang,
leicht ist die Prüfung und nit lang.
