Påsksång
(Sung text for setting by K. Håkanson)
 Matches base text
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Ser du, den gyllne liljan
jag fästat vid din barm
är lik den goda viljan,
som spirar ung och varm
ur drömmens dolda sköte
vårens sol till möte.

Ditt fastlagsris i krukan
är bild av livets tukt,
som botar grubbelsjukan
och bringar ädel frukt
av föresatser sköna.
Dess makt skall du röna.

Och granna påskebålet
på klippans högsta kam
vill visa väg till målet
och komma uppå skam,
där det i natten blänker,
all mörkrets onda ränker.

Composition:

Set to music by Knut Håkanson (1887 - 1929), "Påsksång", 1919 [ voice and piano ]

Text Authorship:

  • by Gustaf Ullman (1881 - 1945)
