Frühlingsabend
 (Sung text for setting by K. Reissiger)
 Matches original text
Language: German (Deutsch)
Tiefe Stille, Alles schweiget
Vor der Sonne Gluthenpracht,
Die erquickt herniedersteiget
In der Wogen dunkle Nacht.

Roth in abendlichem Glanze
Glüht des Laubes zartes Grün
Und im leisen Wellentanze
Spiegelt sich der Wolken Ziehn.

Im erschlossnen Meer der Düfte
Schwimmt der Schöpfung Luftkrystall;
Keine Trauer, keine Grüfte
In dem bräutlich jungen All.

Es versiegt der Thränen Quelle,
Alle Sehnsucht ist gestillt,
Aus des Lenzes Blüthenwelle
Steigt des Friedes holdes Bild.
