Love for Love
Language: English
My joy it is from her to hear Whom that my mind is ever to see, And to my heart she is most near, For I love her and she loveth me. Of duty needs I must her love Which hath my heart so steadfastly, There is no pain may me convert But still to love her while she loveth me. Both love for love and heart for heart Which hath my heart so steadfastly, Therefore my heart shall not remove, For I love her and she loveth me. Christ wolt the figure of her sweet face Were pictur'd where so ever I be, In every hall, from place to place, For I love her and she loveth me. Her company doth me comfort, Therefore in haste I will resort To joy my heart with play and sport, For I love her and she loveth me.
