Im Herzen will ich dich behalten, Wie man ein theures Kleinod hegt, Als eine jener Lichtgestalten, Die jeder Mensch durch's Leben trägt. Im Herzen berg' ich dich, und Schweigen Deckt meinen seligen Gewinn! So bist Du mein und bleibst mein Eigen, Und Keiner ahnt, wie reich ich bin.
