Nur einen Sonnenstrahl
Language: German (Deutsch) 
"Nur einen Sonnenstrahl!"  stöhnt leis die Erde, 
"Und ich zersprenge diesen Ring von Eis, 
Und ich besiege jegliche Beschwerde 
Und wandle euch in Grün dies starre Weiß!" 

So betet auch der Mensch in schwerer Stunde: 
"Wie stolz durchbräch' ich diese trübe Qual!" 
Und flehend klingt's von seinem leisen Munde: 
"Gäb' mir ein Gott  --  nur einen Sonnenstrahl!"
