Tirolers Heimweh
Language: German (Deutsch)
O könnt' ich in mein Heimatland,
zurück ins Land Tirol;
ins Land, wo meine Wiege stand,
da wär' mir wieder wohl!
Der Heimattäler grüne Pracht,
der Bergespitzen Schnee,
wie oft hab' ich an sie gedacht
mit stillem Herzensweh'!
Mich zieht's wie treue Freundeshand,
mir winkt's wie Freundesblick;
o könnt' ich, liebes Heimatland
Tirol, zu dir zurück!

Wie grünt so schön daheim der Wald,
wie blüht so reich die Flur!
Und lustiger die Büchse knallt
vom Fels, wo Gemsenspur.
Und denk' ich erst an Lied und Wort
daheim aus liebem Mund:
o dann zieht's mich erst mächtig fort
zum trauten Seelenbund!
O Heimatland, o Vaterhaus,
euch grüßt mein Sehnsuchtsblick;
nach euch streck' ich die Arme aus,
könnt' ich zu euch zurück!
