by José del Castillo y Soriano (1849 - 1928)

De Febrero 1879
Language: Spanish (Español)
Al sonar la últi ma hora
de la conti enda fatal,
Gozoso canta el metal
y ya no mata ni llora.

En armonías galanas
se apagan lúgubres sones,
Enmudecen los cañones
y repican las campanas.

Su más seductora faz
muestran el cielo y la ti erra...
Que ya vuelven de la guerra
los soldados de la paz.

¡Miradlos! Bajo un dosel
de olivos, palmas y fl ores,
se acercan los vencedores
coronados de laurel.

¡Llegad, valientes, llegad!
Con vosotros este día
llega la paz, la alegría,
el órden, la libertad.
