Da ging ich hin, und dachte nicht an Liebe, an Erdenarbeit nur und Erdenlohn; Ich dachte nicht an Liebe; Da hört' ich ihren ersten Ton, und schnell ward's tief in meinem Herzen trübe. Da bluteten vom neuen meine Wunden. Da fühlt' ich alle die verfloß'nen Stunden; Da war mir Erdenlohn nicht mehr Gewinn Da schlug in meinem Adern ängstlich Sehnen, Da stiegen Seufzer, Ach! da kamen Thränen; Da war ich wieder wo ich immer bin!
