La rueca giraba
Language: Spanish (Español)
La Virgen hilaba,
la dueña dormía,
la rueca giraba
loca de alegría.
Cordero divino,
tus blancos vellones
no igualan al lino
de mis ilusiones.
Gira rueca mía
gira, gira al viento,
que se acerca el día
de mi casamiento.
Gira, que mañana,
cuando al alba cante
la clara campana,
llegará mi amante.
Hila con cuidado
mi velo de nieve
que vendrá el amado
que al altar me lleve.
Se acerca, lo siento
cruzar la llanura,
me trae la ternura
de su voz el viento.
Gira, gira, gira...
gira, rueca loca,
mi amado suspira
por besar mi boca.
Cordero divino,
tus blancos vellones
no igualan al lino
de mis ilusiones.
La niña cantaba,
la dueña dormía,
la luz se apagaba
y sólo se oía
la voz crepitante
de la leña seca
y el loco y constante
girar de la rueca...
