Ein Silberschifflein gleitet
Language: German (Deutsch)
Ein Silberschifflein gleitet
Der Mond so hell und klar
Durch Fluten ausgebreitet
So still und wunderbar.

Viel Meeresrosen blühen
Wohl in der blauen Flut,
Die leuchten und strahlen und glühen,
Wie Gold und Feuersglut.

Wenn der Sonne Glanz geschieden,
Beginnt das Schifflein den Lauf;
Wenn Dunkel herrscht und Frieden,
Dann blühen die Blumen auf.

Ich sehe das Schifflein gleiten
Durch blaue Fluten dahin;
Wer mag es wohl steuern und leiten?
Wer fährt wohl so stille darin?

Mich  erfasset ein eigen Sehnen,
Ich weiß nicht, was das soll!
Was wollen im Auge sie Trănen?
Was ist mir das Herz so voll?

Zu welchem Strand willst du ziehen,
O Silberschifflein klar?
Wie muẞ es da duften und blühen
Und klingen so wunderbar! —
