by Karl Stieler (1842 - 1885)

Evoe!
Language: German (Deutsch)
Bacchantin mit dem feuchten Blick,
Wie deine Schläfe glühen!
Du streifst das umlockte Haar zurück,
Drin schwellende Blumen blühen.

Wie Wellenschlag wiegt sich dein Gang,
Die Lippen sind gekräuselt,
Es lockt dein Wort wie jener Klang,
Wenn Wind im Schilfe säuselt.

Du glühst vor Jugend und vor Kraft
Und Kraft ruft nach dem Sieger -
Um deine Schönheit drängt Leidenschaft
Sich wie ein grollender Tiger.
