Mélodieux automne

Pour toi que l'Amour tendrement module
Au bosquet obscur que bleuit la nuit,
L'appel incertain dont le rythme ondule
Et plane aux rameaux humides des buis.

Pour toi que l'Amour accorde sa flûte
Ténébreuse à l'écho de l'antre et qu'il
Prélude, enroulant les souples volutes
Des sons au murmure du vent subtil;

Qu'il prenne en Octobre ses pipeaux moites,
Puis s'asseye sous les cormiers parés
Des fruits aigres que la grive convoite,
Ou dans le brouillard des champs labourés,

Et d'un souffle pur tire des roseaux
Harmonieux un accent qui te touche
Et t`émeuve, la douceur d'un oiseau
Meurtri que l'on réchauffe sur sa bouche.
