Larmes d'automne
Language: French (Français)
Larmes de feuilles ! Larmes d'automne !
D'une chute lente et monotone
Vous couvrez la plaine et les chemins !

Ah ! que pleurez-vous, larmes d'automne ?...
O feuilles que la vie abandonne ?...
Est-ce l'angoisse des lendemains ?...

Le regret des jours bénis qui passent,
Et toutes les gloires qui s’effacent,
Larmes, feuilles, qui tombez toujours ?...

Hélas ! pleurez aussi nos amours
Qui plus jamais n’auront de retours
Au fond des bois qu’Hiver découronne !...

Pleurez nos cœurs par l’âge glacés,
Et nos vœux, comme vous dispersés,
Larmes de feuilles !... Larmes d'automne !...
