eccomi dunque al fin!... moro, Tancredi,
io per te moro, e tu infedel mi credi!
Di mie sciagure, di mie pene è questa
la più amara e funesta; ~ il padre, oddio! ~
povero padre mio! ~ perfida figlia!...
mi chiamavi, piangendo: ah! rea non sono. ~
Ma pur de' rei questo è il feral soggiorno,
e della colpa, e dell'infamia intorno
tutto spira l'orror. ~ Di ceppi avvinta,
circondata da mostri... orribil morte...
e agli innocenti serbi, oh ciel, tal sorte! ~

se moro per amor,
se moro pe 'l mio ben. ~

Un dì conoscerà
