Principiai amar per gioco,  
e d'amor il cor m'accesi;
già m'alletta il dolce foco,
e maggior ognor si fa.
Fra i piaceri, e fra i diletti
oggi nacque il mio tormento;
ma d'amare io non mi pento
perché spero alfin pietà.
