by Carlo Goldoni (1707 - 1793)

Voglio dirlo a chi no 'l sa
Language: Italian (Italiano)
Voglio dirlo a chi no 'l sa
che Capoccio è l'uccisor.
E il processo si farà
con giustizia, e con rigor.
Verranno i sbirri, vi legheranno,
vi condurranno nel criminal.
Presto confessa «niente non so»
tira la corda: «confesserò».
Chi l'ha ammazzato? «Non lo so dire.»
Tira la corda: «ahi parlerò:
io sono stato, io l'ho ammazzato».
Ah brutta cera, va' alla galera.
Acqua, biscotto, ferri, e baston.
