Bird lullaby
Language: English
Baby, I've a little nest, Set on slumbertree, Cosy, sweet and soft and warm, Waiting now for thee. It is far above the dew, Safe from any weather; Come, the stars are gleaming now, Let us go together. Lullaby, you sleepy bird, Winds of ev'ning now are heard, Say "Good-night" just once to me, But not another word, little bird! Baby, all the dark hours through Winds shall rock our nest, Nightingales around us sing, Fill with dreams our rest. Till the sun shall rise at last, In our eyes be peeping, And we greet another day, Waken from our sleeping. Lullaby, you sleepy bird etc.
