Think of today
Language: English
In asking for tomorrow What we think tomorrow's need, We forget today, its sweetness And the fulness of its meed; If we'd sometimes pause and ponder On the gifts we have today, We would then, perhaps, remember, 'Twas tomorrow yesterday. And as each day was tomorrow To the day that went before, And all these long tomorrows We've been feasted from love's store; Can we not, from past assurance, Know that Love will meet all care, And not each day be asking To receive tomorrow's share.
