Heute ist Sonntag Palmarum, der Wald ist voll Sonnenschein, ich bat dich du möchtest kommen, du sagtest, es könne nicht sein. Mit goldenen Palmen prangen die Büsche am Waldesrand, mit ängstlichem Herzen ich wartend unter der Saalweide stand. Mir blühte nicht die Weide, kein Vogel ein Lied mir sang, ich sah mit traurigen Augen den sonnigen Weg entlang. Nun bist du doch gekommen, Liebste, ich wußte es ja, goldgelb blühen die Weiden, Sonntag Palmarum ist da.
