by Adolph von der Recke (1820 - 1867)

Holmens faste Stok
Language: Danish (Dansk)
Holmens faste Stok
lystelig hinanden prajer,
de har sikkert nok
lugtet tyskens rævestreger.
Og matrosen, som
færdes på de salte vande,
vender næsen om!
han har lugtet li'sådanne.
Dansk gutter blå
kommer hjem fra fjerne lande!
Hurra, store, små,
for Dannebrog vi slå.
Hurra, hurra, hurra!

Derfor rask om bord!
Se fregatten, hvor hun stamper!
Ser I ikke, hvor
"Hekla" med af længsel damper?
Op med sejl og damp,
op med ræer og op med master,
rask af sted til kamp!
I skal vide, at det haster,
I skal vide, at
tysken håner eder, gaster!
Ud med hver fregat,
og send ham laget glat!
Hurra, hurra, hurra !

Efter gammel skik
vil vi sejre eller falde.
For Kong Frederik
vil vi kæmpe een som alle.
Et så dansk og bravt
sømandssind har, på min ære
ingen konge haft
siden Kristian den Fjerde.
Mod den tyske bred
peger flaget - og vi skære
lynende af sted -
og bringer sejer med.
Hurra, hurra, hurra!
