Sommernacht
Language: German (Deutsch) 
Des Tages letzter Schimmer schwand.
Am Himmel hängt das blasse Perlenband
der ersten Flimmersterne.
Die müden Wellen laufen plätschernd auf den Sand,
und weiche Sommerwinde grüssen aus der Ferne.

Das Schilf lässt unsern Nachen ein
und hält ns fest in seinem grünen Schrein,
daß wir nun bleiben müssen.
Wir sitzten auf der schmalen Ruderbank zu zwein,
und deine warme Wange ist zo weich zu küssen.

Und still kommt hinterm Wald hervor der bleiche Mond
und heftet an das Rohr die lichten Silbersäume.
Wir blicken schweigend, Hand in Hand, zu ihm empor,
und freundlich lächelt er herab auf unsre Träume.
